科羅拉多州溫泉火車之旅 去程 Train tip to Glenwood Hot Springs, Colorado Part 1

我們家很喜歡溫泉，我很喜歡火車。因為火車是早期的交通工具，也是美國歷史很重要的一環！沿途可以看到很多老城鎮以及豐富的歷史回憶～

We love hot springs, and I like trains…..It was part of the American history. You can see the old fashioned towns and the rich past memories along the journey.

來了猶他州也都快十年了～真的附近的景點都玩差不多了～所以想嘗試一點新的。所以在2017的秋假，我找到了Amtrak 美國的鐵路局，有超多超有特色的行程，每條鐵路的行程都有不同的景色，例如：沿著加州黃金海岸的路線可以看到海岸的風光，或是穿越洛磯山脈的路線可以看到峻嚴的山谷。。。等

We have been to Utah for almost 10 years this year. We have pretty much been to many different tourist or fun sights around. Therefore, I tried to explore something different back in Fall break 2017. Then, I discovered the Amtrak. It has so much to offer…. Different train routes can take you to different sceneries. For example: the route along the California Coastline with gorgeous oceanic view, and the route cross Rocky mountain to see the Mountain and valley.

因為孩子年齡大概幼稚園到國小的年紀，所以不想選太遠的行程會自己找自己的麻煩，而且預算也不是太太多，所以我們選擇這條可以到隔壁州的行程。已經太常去拉斯維加斯，所以選擇去科羅拉多州，體驗一個全新的旅遊型態！

Since our kids were still young around kindergarten to elementary school years. Plus, out budget was kind of limited to a short domestic trip without flying. We decided to have a trip just to the State next to Utah. Ｗe have been to Vegas too many times, so we chose Colorado. This was a totally different journey we have ever had before.

在火車上睡了兩個小時，太陽剛剛出來 The sun peeked out after 2 hours of sleep on the train…

這趟旅程單趟大概7小時，我們是在猶他的普羅浮車站上車，Amtrak並不是每一站都有停，所以猶他郡就只有這個點可以上車，不然就要去鹽湖城。Amtrak上車的平台是跟 Front Runner 不一樣的，請不要跑錯，因為凌晨天超黑，Amtrak的車站又不明顯，還我們差一點點就沒搭到車！而且還演全家走軌道的危險動作。。。

The train ride was about 7 hours one way. We went on at Provo station. Amtrak doesn’t stop at all the stops. Provo is the only stop in Utah County. Otherwise, you have to go to Salt Lake City to get on board. Amtrak has it’s own translation, which is different from the front runner. Yes, we almost missed the train cuz we went to the wrong platform. DO NOT GO TO FRONTRUNNER PROVO STATION! GO TO PROVO AMTRAK STATION ON THE OTHERSIDE!

睡了一覺就開始玩玩具！Kids started playing their toys when they woke up on the train.

如果你有帶小孩，請一定一定要帶玩具或是什麼讓他們做的事情，不然這七個小時會覺得怎麼好像永遠都不到。。哈哈 是的，你可以帶自己的食物，吼～突然懷念台玩的鐵路便當！

If you have little kids, make sure you bring enough toys or something to keep them busy! Otherwise, you will feel this 7 hours will never end…. lol! Yes, you can pack your own food!

醒來沒多久就到了猶他州跟科羅拉多州邊界的Grand Junction. After waking up from the short sleep on the train, we have arrived Grand Junction in between Utah and Colorado.

對！我們去探險一趟回來，爸爸還在睡覺！ Yup….we have finished our exploration and daddy was still sleeping.
車上看到很多打扮像古人的類似Amish的人，但是不一樣，他們會使用早期的大眾交通工具旅行，但是我看他們的婦女會帶手工活來做還有寫信，不太用現代電子用品，小朋友也是帶超復古的玩具玩！ We saw some people dressed up like the Amish, but they were not Amish. Their women brought some craft to hand sew and wrote letter with paper and pens. The kids were playing with old fashioned toys.
我們的目的地到了！Ｏur destination!

Amtrak也像飛機一樣有分等級～經濟艙（我們這種超小資坐的）、商務艙、頭等艙。還有臥鋪可以選擇～

Amtrak is like the airline with different seats….First class, business, or coach seats( we were in this). Or, if you travel long distance, you can pick one of the sleeping private rooms.

The Amtrak offers point systems….so if you think you really like this type of traveling, you should sign up for their point systems.
